In December 2021, Kathryn created and directed Once Upon A Christmas Song at Sharnbrook Mill Theatre. Here is just a part of the review:

“By the time we left, we were thoroughly rejuvenated and absolutely enthralled with what we had just seen. For what we had just witnessed was a masterclass in how to put on a musical variety show with about as near to technical perfection as it is possible to get and wonderful feel-good memories to drive home to.”

You can read the full NODA review for Once Upon a Christmas Song here.

On Sunday 10th April 2022, Once Upon A Christmas Song was awarded Best Musical (District 2) and Best Production Shield (District 2) at the NODA East Gala Awards. More information can be seen here.

Performance reviews

These are just some of the reviews from productions in which Kathryn has performed:

I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change (January 2020, Bonkers Playhouse)

“The six cast members played a variety of roles each during the show. It would be unfair of me to single out anyone as they were all equally outstanding. Their characters were all well-defined and sustained and there were some awesome vocals from all six and their harmonising was a joy to listen to. Well done to you all!” – NODA review

Two Across (October 2019, Bonkers Playhouse)

“The play has been very well rehearsed and the two actors, James and Kathryn, both give outstanding performances with well-defined and plausible characterisations of their roles. Well done to you both!” – NODA review

A Doll’s House (June 2019, Bonkers Playhouse)

“Kathryn Rose was outstanding as Nora, going deep into her character to portray Nora’s ‘awakening’.” – NODA review

Wait Until Dark (March 2019, Sharnbrook Mill Theatre)

“Kathryn Rose was excellent and very believable as the blind Susy Henderson. Even her trips and falls over misplaced pieces of furniture were spot on, not an easy thing to get right. She was particularly impressive in the last scene where she demolishes the interior of the fridge.” – NODA review
